Last Friday, October 25, 2025, the Department of Economics at Georgetown University hosted the inaugural DMV PhD Conference on Political Economy & Development, in partnership with gui2de, DCPEC, and UPPER. We aimed to create an environment in which students could get feedback on their work, gain confidence as presenters, and forge professional ties with peers in their field.
